We're 30 days away from the start of our inaugural season and we continue to count down the days with No. 30 Dan Tracy, who is from Bedford, N.Y., and is a transfer from UMass.
What is your favorite lacrosse memory?
During my senior year at Fox Lane High School, we beat Yorktown High School on their senior day. They were the top ranked team in the section and we disrupted a massive win streak they had over other section one teams. (over 50 games.)
What is your favorite sport besides lacrosse?
I wrestled for a little bit and continued later into Krav Maga/MMA/self defense fighting.
What do you like to do in your free time?
I watch a ton of movies, play some video games, hang out with my dog.
Why did you choose Utah? What is the best thing about Utah?
Utah literally has the best skiing in the U.S. so that's pretty awesome.
My favorite thing about Salt Lake City is:
It's almost got a small town feel even though it's a pretty big city. There are a ton of awesome places to eat and hang out, more than I'm used to so I get to explore a lot.
What are your goals for this year?
Win every game.
What are your pregame superstitions?
I only listen to heavy metal on game day.
Where do you most hope to travel/visit?
I hope to travel to every continent before I die.
If you could invite three people, dead or alive, to a dinner party, who would they be?
George Washington, Clint Eastwood, Marcus Aurelius.
What is the best piece of advice you have ever received?
Whatever you do, doesn't matter what, you have to put 100% effort into it and be the best at it you can be. -Dan Tracy
Sr. (my dad)
