MINNEAPOLIS – On the second day of the NCAA Championships, the Utah men's swimming team set another program mark in the 200 medley relay.
Paul Ungur,
Jack Burton,
Ben Scott and
Rodolfo Moreira swam a time of 1:24.46 in the morning's preliminaries, breaking the previous mark of 1:24.80, set by the same group at this season's Art Adamson Invitational. In the finals this evening, they finished 12
th with a time of 1:24.59 to become the first Utah relay team to earn All-American status since 1975.
Ungur also competed in the 100 back and finished 22
nd with a time of 46.19. The native of Romania is Utah's record holder in the event, which he set at this year's Pac-12 Championship (45.52).
