GREENSBORO, N.C. – Utah baseball junior outfielder
DaShawn Keirsey, Jr., has been named to the ABCA/Rawlings West All-Region second team, as voted on by members of the American Baseball Coaches Association.

Keirsey, who was recently selected in the fourth round of the 2018 MLB Draft by the Minnesota Twins, was a three-time All-Pac-12 outfielder and a three-time selection to the Pac-12 all-defensive team. He ended the regular season ranked third in the Pac-12 with a .386 batting average.Keirsey led the league and tied for 10th in the NCAA with 23 doubles while ranking sixth in the NCAA in doubles per game (0.46). He ranked tied for third in the Pac-12 with 78 hits and was second in hits per game (1.56). Keirsey was also tied for fourth in triples (5), seventh in slugging percentage (.609) and eighth with a .440 on-base percentage. In addition to leading Utah in the above categories, he also led the team with 47 runs scored and tied for the team lead with four home runs. Keirsey was 7-of-12 in stolen bases and drove in 22 runs.

Keirsey had a .334 career batting average at Utah and played in 154 career games with 148 starts. He was Utah's first-ever selection to the Pac-12 all-defensive team back in 2016 and was a Freshman All-American that year.
