The No. 4 ranked Utah gymnasts (2-0, 0-0 Pac-12) head to Corvallis, Ore., for their 2019 Pac-12 season opener against No. 21 Oregon State (3-0, 0-0 Pac-12) on Saturday, Jan. 19. The meet starts at 2 p.m. PT (3 p.m. MT) in Gill Coliseum and will be live streamed on OSUBeavers.com. Live Utah commentary and scores will be available on UtahUtes.com.

The 2-0 Utes are No. 4 in the new Women's Collegiate Gymnastics Association (WCGA) rankings, which are based on total season average. Utah has the third-best average among teams with more than one meet. The Utes are ranked No. 2 in the nation on vault, No. 4 on floor, No. 6 on bars and No. 7 on beam. MyKayla Skinner is No. 1 (tie) on vault, No. 2 on floor, No. 3 in the all-around and No. 7 (tie) on bars. Utah's 197.175 and 197.250 scores in the first two weeks marks the first time in school history that the Utes have opened the season with back-to-back 197 scores … Utes won two Pac-12 awards last week with MyKayla Skinner winning Pac-12 Gymnast of the Week and Cristal Isa named Pac-12 Freshman of the Week on Jan. 8. Skinner improved her Pac-12 record for career Gymnast of the Week awards to 13. Isa was Utah's first Pac-12 Freshman of the Week since Skinner won the award a record six times in 2017… Skinner has 85 career victories—two wins shy of fifth place in the Utah career record books (Kristen Kenoyer, 87, 1990-93). The school career win record is 120 held by Ashley Postell (2005-08) … Individual winners are MyKayla Skinner (8) and MaKenna Merrell-Giles (1) … The Utes have hit 46-of-48 routines … Gymnasts who have hit every routine without a fall are Skinner (8-8), Merrell-Giles (8-8), Kari Lee (7-7), Cristal Isa (4-4), Macey Roberts (4-4), Adrienne Randall (3-3), Alexia Burch (2-2), Sydney Soloski (2-2) and Shannon McNatt (1-1).

Utah made changes to every lineup from week one to week two and the lineups will again shuffle this week at OSU. Making her NCAA debut on bars last week at BYU was freshman Hunter Dula (9.75), while sophomore Alexia Burch (9.775) joined the beam lineup as the leadoff performer and freshman Adrienne Randall (9.625) competed to count on floor for the first time. Although the personnel in the vault lineup remained unchanged, Burch (9.875) and Macey Roberts (9.90) switched positions with both achieving career bests. Beam also featured a position switch, with Randall (9.875) moving to the fifth position and Missy Reinstadtler (9.825) moving to the No. 2 spot.

Winner Skinner
Two-time NCAA champion, two-time NCAA all-around runner-up and 18-time All-American MyKayla Skinner is one of the winningest gymnasts in Utah history. Skinner holds the Utah record for all-around wins in a season (12 in 2017) and is second in career all-around wins (23, 2017-present). Two meets into her junior season, she has 85 total career wins, which ranks sixth in program history. Skinner won NCAA titles on floor in 2017 and vault in 2018. The Pac-12 all-around champion as a freshman and sophomore, Skinner owns Pac-12 records for most Pac-12 Gymnast of the Week awards in a season (7) and a career (13), as well as most Pac-12 Freshman of the Week awards (6).
