SALT LAKE CITY – As the 2019-20 NCAA Division I women's basketball season gets closer, the Utah women's basketball program is ready to introduce its trio of fantastic freshmen.
The Utes welcome one of the highest rated recruiting classes to Salt Lake City this season, which includes a five-star and four-star recruit along with an international forward that has a wealth of experience playing top tier basketball.
"Since we've been here, our freshman class continues to get better in terms of potential impact, and this year's class isn't any different," head coach
Lynne Roberts said. "This is certainly the highest ranked class we have ever had with the most accolades coming in. They are three different players in what they bring to the table and I anticipate all three to play a lot."
Since the Utes joined the Pac-12, they have had six All-Freshman team selections, including the Pac-12 Freshman of the Year last season, along with 14 Pac-12 Freshman of the Week honors. The Utes set a conference record last season with nine Pac-12 Freshman of the Week selections.
