Bradlee Anae Earns Second Pac-12 Defensive Lineman of the Week Award

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – Senior defensive end Bradlee Anae earned his second Pac-12 Defensive Lineman of the Week honor after his performance in Utah's 35-7 win over Arizona, giving Utah six straight defensive lineman of the week awards.
Anae's first defensive lineman of the week award came after his performance against Arizona State, also winning Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Week the same week, bringing his total player of the week recognitions to three this season. Utah has 11 Pac-12 player of the week awards this year, ranking second in the league behind Oregon.
Anae, who is a Bednarik Award semifinalist, finished the game with a season-high seven tackles, all coming on solo hits. He also recorded his 11th sack of the season, which is tied for fifth in the FBS and is second in the Pac-12.
Of Anae's seven tackles against Arizona, two were for no gain on the play with the furthest yardage by the Wildcats being just two yards when facing Anae.
His sack for a loss of five yards in the second quarter brought his career total to 28, breaking the tie for second all-time in Utah history with John Frank (27, 1996-99). Hunter Dimick currently holds the school record for career sacks at 29.5 (2013-16).
Anae's tackles for loss against the Wildcats also broke a tie for fourth all-time at Utah in career tackles for loss with 39.5, passing Jason Kaufusi (38.5, 2000-02) and Nate Orchard (38.5, 2011-14).
