THIS WEEK
The Utah men's golf team is gearing up for its last tournament of 2019 at the Saint Mary's Invitational. The event will take place Nov. 4-6. The three-day tournament will take place at the Poppy Hills Golf Course in Monterey, Calif.
THE FIELD
Utah will compete among a field 16 teams that includes Saint Mary's, Arizona, BYU, Coastal Carolina, Colorado State, Fresno State, Oregon, Oregan State, New Mexico, Pacific, San Diego State, San Francisco, Santa Clara, Toledo and UNC Wilmington.
UTAH'S LINE-UP
The Utes five-man lineup will consist of seniors Mitchell Schow and Jordan Costello and juniors Blake Tomlinson and Tristan Mandur. Rounding out the tournament team is true freshman Jesper von Reedtz. Redshirt sophomore Colton Tanner will also be competing on the links but only as an individual.
TOURNAMENT DETAILS
The Saint Mary's Invitational is a three-day tournament with 18 holes being played each day of the tournament. Teams will tee off Monday at times ranging from 7:30 to 9:50 a.m. Tee times for Tuesday and Wednesday will also range from 7:30 to 9:50 a.m.
LAST TIME OUT
The team competed in the Oregon State Invitational and placed third overall after shooting 13-over par as a team. Schow led the Utes shooting 3-under par (210) and finished tied for fifth among the field. Tomlinson also finished in the top 10, tying for ninth after shooting 1-over par (213). Next up for the Utes was Mandur at 7-over par (220) tying him for 28th overall. Barcos finished in 45th after carding 12-over par (225). Rounding out the team was Costello who shot 18-over par (231) to finish tied for 69th among the field.
