Utah Vault Notes: Pretty looking vault from
Kari Lee.Deduction was for hop on landing.
Awesome vault by
Macey Roberts She just nailed it. Another stuck vault by Alexia
Burch. She stuck it but tilted just a bit to the right.
MyKayla Skinner had huge amplitude
and distance. Her deduction was a step back on her landing.
Kim Tessen threw
her 1 1/2 Yurchenko but stepped to the left on her landing. Stunning, fabulous routine
by
Missy Reinstadtler with an emphatic stuck landing. I am not sure where MyKayla
Skinner's deductions came from, perhaps because my angle was different than the
judges, who were both seated at the same table.
Utah Bar Notes:
Kari Lee's deductions came on not quite getting to
90 degrees on her handstands and a hop on the landing.
Hunter Dula had a great, fabulous routine on the bars. She stepped
on the landing.
Kim Tessen's handstands rocked, but she was
close tot he bar on her release move and stepped on her dismount.
Good handstands, big release move by
MaKenna Merrell-Giles. Step
on the landing.
Utah Beam Notes:
Shannon McNatt had a big wobble early in her routine and got stronger
as it went on. Coaches inquired her score and the score was lowered.
Sydney Solosky was clean most of the way through her routine before
wobbling near the end and taking a step on her landing.
MaKenna Merrell-Giles hit her
triple series cleanly but was unsteady coming off her front aerial for hte deduction.
Nice stick to finish the routine.
Kari Lee owned the beam on that routine.Completely in control
and nice stick to end it.
Adrienne Randall had a big bend in her series but didn't touch the
beam. She was a little unsteady for a minute then finished strong.
MyKayla Skinner was
perfect on the beam. The only thing wrong with the routine was she bent a bit at the waist
after her double back dismount. I was surprised she received such a big deduction for it.
Utah Floor Notes: Nice routine to start us off by
Macey Roberts. She
might have not controlled her landing as well as usual on her pike double,
but it was still pretty good!
Kari Lee's routine was super clean. I thought
Adrienne Randall's routine was really good and I guess I must have missed
any real deductions. I am completely baffled by
MaKenna Merrell-Giles
deductions. I liked her routine for a 9.90 myself. Welcome back on floor MyKayla
Skinner! Awesome routine. She knocked it out of the park.
