"Playing four games in eight days and playing one of the top programs in the country, it clearly caught up to us," head coach Brian Holman said. "No excuses though. We didn't have a lot of legs, and we knew that. This trip, even though we didn't win, was such a wonderful experience for our program. To play teams like UMass and Duke, it was what we hoped for. We competed really hard the majority of the trip. We learned, we grew, we had fun, we shed tears, and mission accomplished. We're headed back to Salt Lax City to get a break and get back to work and back to practice. That's another thing about playing four games in eight days, you don't get a chance to practice. Today we played a great team, give them all the credit. I can't wait to get home and we look forward to rebooting and tackling the last leg of the season."
The Utes have a bye this week before returning to the field at Virginia on Sunday, March 31.
