TUCSON, Ariz. –The 38^th ranked University of Utah women's tennis team was unable to come away with a victory earlier today, as they finished off their road trip with a loss against the University of Arizona. Dropping the match to the Wildcats with a score of 1-4, the Utes will now move to an overall record of 10-5 on the season, and are 1-3 in Pac-12 conference play.
 
"We did a very poor job of being the 'better' team today and got outcompeted," said head coach Mat Iandolo. "This is a match we need to learn from if we are going to make a run in the last quarter of the year."
 
The Utes were able to start the day off strong by earning the doubles point against Arizona. On court No. 2, Whitney Hekking and Leah Heimuli were able to record a victory against Camila Wesbrooks and Gitte Heyneman, with a final score of 6-3. Lindsay Hung and Emily Dush then put in a win off their own at the No. 3 position, defeating Tayla Zandberg and Csenge Furak with a score of 6-3, to give the Utes the 1-0 lead going into singles. 

In singles, the Utes then lost four straight matches on the 2, 3, 4, and 6 courts, allowing the Wildcats to secure the match with a score of 1-4. The University of Utah women's tennis team will be back in action next Sunday, March 31^st, as they will host the University of Oregon in a home match at the Eccles Tennis Center. Competition against the Ducks is set to start at 11:30 a.m. MT.
