SALT LAKE CITY – University of Utah women's basketball head coach Lynne Roberts has announced the promotion of Kendall Rodriguez to director of women's basketball administration and operations.
"I am really happy that Kendall is moving up and into this role of Director of Administration and Operations in light of Willette White's retirement," Roberts said. "In everything Kendall does, she brings enthusiasm, creativity, and competence. I have known Kendall since she was 16, as she played for me at my former school, and it is really rewarding for me to see her thrive and strive for big things in this profession."
Rodriguez, who has spent the previous four seasons as Utah's director of marketing, alumni and community relations, will enter the 2019-20 season with her new title.
The last four seasons, Rodriguez has been responsible for cultivating positive relationships with community members throughout the Salt Lake Valley as well as with alumni who take pride in the rich heritage of Utah women's basketball. She also runs all of Utah's social media accounts and is responsible for all creative content featured on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
Rodriguez has been key in contributing to the increase of attendance at home games through program awareness on social media, through community outreach initiatives such as clinics, school assemblies and camps, and through alumni functions. She has also been in charge of Utah's Fast Break Club as well as the ball girl program.
Rodriguez played for Roberts at the University of Pacific from 2009-13 and was a two-time All-Big West first-team selection. She was one of just six players in Pacific women's basketball history to record more than 1,200 points and 700 rebounds in a career.
She also played professionally for the GiroLive Panthers in Osnabruck, Germany (DBBL First Division) and the McKinnon Cougars in Melbourne, Australia. Rodriguez graduated from Pacific in 2013 with a bachelor's in business marketing and with a minor in communications and will graduate with her MBA from Utah in May.
