SAN FRANCISCO - The Utah women's swimming and diving team had 19 student-athletes named to Pac-12 All-Academic Teams, the league office announced today.
Marah Smith earned First Team honors for a second-straight year and was joined on the conference's top tier by Samantha Kraus
Mallori Allen and Sarah Lott were named to the second team for a second-straight season and were joined by diver Madison Cock.
Fourteen Utes garnered honorable mention status from the league. Jordan Anderson, Gillian St. John and Darby Wayner were chosen for a third time while Kenzie Ford, Mariah Gassaway and Genny Robertson were recognized in consecutive seasons. Emma Broome, Makenzie Caufield, Gabby Fagan, Mandy Gebhart, Clare Greenlow, Grace Horvath, Sara McClendon and Emma Ruchala earned academic honors for a first time from the conference.
To be eligible for selection to the academic team, a student-athlete must have a minimum 3.0 overall grade-point average, participate in at least half of their team's scheduled regular season events and spent more than one year at her current institution.
The Utah women had a 3.19 grade point average during the fall to earn its 12th-straight CSCAA team academic award.
