Making her way to Salt Lake City just over a month ago, Emilie LeBlanc joins the Utah gymnastics team as a junior transfer from Maryland where she spent the first two years of her college career. LeBlanc was a specialist on bars and beam during her time at Maryland.Â
The Holly Springs, N.C. native earned eight individual victories over the two seasons with five titles coming on bars and three titles on beam. LeBlanc holds a career-high 9.90 on beam and bars, recording a 9.90 on beam as a sophomore and 9.90 on bars twice as a freshman. LeBlanc has hit 53-58 career routines and had competed in Maryland's beam and bars lineup in every meet of both seasons. Â
During her club gymnastics prior to competing in college, LeBlanc finished fourth on bars, fifth in the all-around, and 10
th on vault at the 2016 Junior Olympic National Championships. LeBlanc also saw success at the 2016 Region 8 Level 9 & 10 Regionals where she placed first in the all-around, on bars, and on floor, while placing second on beam and fourth on vault. At the 2017 North Carolina State Level 10 Championships, LeBlanc finished first on beam and third on bars.
LeBlanc trained at Sonshine Gymnastics and graduated from Holly Springs High School with a 3.9 GPA. This past season at Maryland, LeBlanc earned a Winter Academic All-Big Ten selection for carrying a cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 or higher. Coolest place you've traveled to and why? France, because I had the opportunity to work with an amazing gymnastics program for three years and develop a deeper love for the sport.
Who inspires you? My parents. They work so hard every day and are always excited about life and all it has to offer!
Dream job? Being a professional explorer would be awesome! But, I am looking to go into medical sales after college.
If a genie granted you three wishes right now, what would they be? A clean and plastic free ocean, more positivity and peace on the planet, and a cure for Alzheimer's.

What makes Utah gymnastics special? I think one of the most special things about being a Utah gymnast is having such amazing, committed fans supporting us and having the support of the best coaching staff in the nation.
