Utah Athletics Teams Up with Soles4Souls

The Utah athletics department has teamed up with Soles4Souls to help turn shoes into opportunity.
SALT LAKE CITY – The University of Utah Athletics Department has teamed up with Soles4Souls to begin a shoe drive starting this Friday, March 6, at the #4 Red Rocks meet against Stanford. Ute fans as well as the greater Salt Lake Community will have three other opportunities to donate as well.

Donation boxes will be at all four entrances to the Jon M. Huntsman Center with student-athletes and members of the Crimson Council on hand to help collect donations at all four events. At the conclusion of the drive, Utah student-athletes will then travel to Guatemala (May 4-10) to help distribute the donated shoes alongside Soles4Souls to men, women and children in need.

The drive with Soles4Souls is hoping to collect new and gently used shoes of all styles and sizes to provide relief, create jobs, and empower people to break the cycle of poverty. Soles4Souls has over 1,200 non-profit partners both domestically and internationally and distributes both shoes and clothing to all 50 states as well as 127 countries around the world.
