The University of Utah Athletics Department celebrated the Utes' three golf seniors today on social media as part of the Virtual Senior Day initiative. With the season cut short due to the Coronavirus pandemic, seniors Jordan Costello, Peyton Hastings and Mitchell Schow were honored today for their fantastic careers as Utes.
The trio came to Utah as true freshmen in 2016-17 and have brought the program to new heights. Between the three of them, they have competed in 92 tournaments in a Utah uniform.

Jordan Costello // Pinedale, Wyo. // Pinedale HS
Competed in 39 events as a Ute … ranks seventh all-time in single-season lowest scoring average, shooting 71.8 in 2019-20 … shot a 203 (-7) at the Maui Jim Intercollegiate in 2019-20, which ranks third all-time in program history … shot 4-under in the second and third rounds at the Maui Jim Intercollegiate (66), which also ties for the fifth-lowest round score in school history … set a course record at the Bandon Dunes Championship as a junior in 2018-19 with a second round of 64, tying for the third-lowest round in Utah history … was the 2018 Wyoming State Golf Association Men's Player of the Year and was also a GCAA Golf All-America Scholar … carded 14 rounds of par or better as a sophomore and a true freshman.
Peyton Hastings // Bountiful, Utah // Woods Cross HS
Has played in 13 events as a Ute … shot a season-low 72 twice as a senior, including in the third round of the Pioneer Creek Collegiate and the second round of the Oregon State Invitational … tied for 38th at the Pioneer Creek Collegiate after shooting 8-over … tied for 14th with a season-best three-round score of 218 at the Sonoran Showdown in 2018-19, also notching a season-best round of 70 … best finish as a sophomore was tying for 31st at the ASU Thunderbird Individual … shot a season-best 2-under par round (70) at the PING Cougar Classic as a freshman, finishing in 27th overall … notched a top-50 finish at the Pac-12 Championships as a true freshman.
Mitchell Schow // Ogden, Utah // Park City HS
Has competed in 40 events as a Ute … shot a career-low 71.6 strokes per round as a senior in 2019-20, ranking fourth all-time at Utah … carded 13 rounds of par or better as a senior … shot 5-under to tie for 18th at the Maui Jim Intercollegiate, shooting a season-low round of 67 in both the first and second rounds … tied for fifth at the Oregon State Invitational after shooting 3-under … his seven eagles in 2018-19 as a junior tied for 16th nationally … placed fifth at the Mark Simpson Invitational with a score of 3-under par … hit a hole-in-one at the Sonoran Showdown in the first round on the No. 6 par 3 hole in 2018-19 … named the 2018 Utah Golf Association Men's Player of the Year … season-best 5-under par to tie for 12th at the Mark Simpson Colorado Invitational in 2017-18 as a sophomore … carded season low single round scores of 4-under par at the Mark Simpson Colorado Invitational and PING Cougar Classic as a freshman … had two top-10 performances in 2016-17, which tied for the team lead.
