Grace Englund (track & field) and
David Micevski (men's tennis) have been named recipients of the Pac-12 Postgraduate Scholarship award by the league office on Monday.

Awarded annually to two student-athletes from each Pac-12 school since 1999, the postgraduate scholarships are worth $9,000 each. The program was created to both honor and financially assist some of the Conference's most outstanding athletes and scholars as they continue their educations and prepare for careers in their chosen industries.

Englund is set to pursue her master's degree at the University of Florida in tourism, recreation & sport management while Micevski will stay at the U to pursue a master's degree in finance.

Micevski finished his career ranked No. 93 in the final ITA poll of the 2019 season, while also finishing his senior campaign ranked No. 3 in the Mountain Region. The Skopje, Macedonia native was a three-time All-Pac-12 Honorable Mention selection playing at the top two singles positions his entire career as a Ute where he totaled 60 dual wins. He finished ranked in the top-10 of the Mountain Region in singles play all four seasons and was named the ITA Mountain Region Player to Watch following the 2018 campaign. Micevski is also a three-time ITA Scholar-Athlete and three-time Pac-12 All-Academic selection. He graduated this past spring with a degree in Business Administration with a 3.66 cumulative grade point average.

Englund had a successful career on the track during her time at the U both individually and as part of the 4x400 team. Her mark of 1:32.62 in the 600m still stands in the indoor record books while the 4x400 relay record that she was a part of in 2014 stood for six years before being broken this past season. In her career, Englund captured first four times individually while helping her 4x400 team take home the title three separate times. The Issaquah, Wash., native graduated from Utah with a degree in Kinesiology with a positive psychology certificate while being a three-time Pac-12 All-Academic team selection (2015-16, 2018) and a three-time MPSF All-Academic honoree (2015, 2017-18).

To be eligible for the annual scholarship, student-athletes must have:
• An overall undergraduate minimum cumulative grade-point average of 3.00 (based on a 4.00 scale);
• Completed his/her final season of intercollegiate athletics eligibility in all sports or be in his/her final year of undergraduate study, having exhausted athletics eligibility in all sports;
• Been accepted to or already be enrolled as a full-time student in a graduate or professional program at an accredited institution, or in a postgraduate program for which an undergraduate degree is required for admission;
• Performed with distinction as a member of a varsity team; and
• Exemplified behavior, both in competition and beyond, in a manner that has brought credit to the student-athlete, the institution, and intercollegiate athletics.
