SALT LAKE CITY – Utah Gymnastics welcomed in a trio of dynamic gymnasts to the Red Rocks program on Wednesday morning, marking the first official signing class of head coach
Carly Dockendorf since taking the helm of the prestigious program heading into the 2024 season. The incoming class for the Red Rocks includes five-star gymnast Bailey Stroud, along with Norah Christian and local standout Sage Curtis.

"With the addition of these three signees, Utah Gymnastics will continue to elevate on all four events," said head coach
Carly Dockendorf. "They provide a rich balance of difficulty, power, and experience. Sage, Bailey, and Norah, are of high class and character and are determined to contribute to continuing the tradition of excellence at Utah Gymnastics."

"Bailey Stroud has the artistry, skills, and execution to be a top-scoring NCAA gymnast on any event,"Â said Dockendorf. "As the 2024 National All-Around Champion, we can expect Bailey to continue to provide immediate depth on all 4 events. Her work ethic and focus is evident in the precision she demonstrates on each skill."

Stroud nearly swept the top spot of the podium at the Region 5 Championships, taking first on vault, beam, floor and in the all-around, with her lone runner-up finish coming on bars. At the Level 10 National Championships, Stroud secured a pair of first-place title, earning a share of the top spot on beam and in the all-around, adding a third-place finish on vault.

Stroud tallied a pair of titles on bars at both the Region 5 Championships and Level 10 National Championships in 2022. At the 2022 regional championships, she added a second-place finish on floor and third-place finish on vault. A two-time Nastia Liukin Cup Qualifier in 2021 and 2022, Stroud captured a gold medal on bars in 2022, finishing in sixth in the all-around.

Sage Curtis | Riverton, Utah | Olympus Gymnastics
"Sage Curtis is a powerhouse and it is going to be electric to watch her perform in front of her home crowd," said Dockendorf. "As the 2024 National Vault Champion, she brings a massive 10.0 start value (vault) that she scored a perfect 10.0 on this season. Sage will also make a huge contribution to our depth on beam and floor with her big difficulty and high energy."

Utah native Sage Curtis fulfills her dream of joining the Red Rocks as a member of the 2025 signing class. She recently claimed both the level 10 national vault title and Regional Championship title scoring a 10.0. Throughout the 2024 season, Curtis tallied three consecutive first-place finishes on beam, adding a second-place finish at the Utah state meet.

Avery Neff. She has three older brothers, Cayden, Weston, Ty and a younger brother, Brock.

Norah Christian | Bremerton, Wash. | Cascade Elite Gymnastics West
"Red Rock fans are going to love watching Norah Christian perform her powerful gymnastics skills," said Dockendorf. "She has bar elements that very few gymnasts in the country are doing and a menu of E tumbling passes to choose from. With her drive and experience at the elite level, we anticipate Norah to play a significant role in multiple events her first year."

Christian tallied three first-place finishes from the 2024 City of Lights Invitational, winning the vault, floor and all-around competition. She added a second-place finish on beam and collected a third-place finish on bars. Christian secured her first wins of 2024 at the Vegas Cup, taking the top spot on vault, floor and in the all-around. Christian added third-place finishes on bars and beam from the Vegas Cup.

She is the daughter of Jay and Jenn Christian trains at Cascade Elite Gymnastics West and attends Washington Connection Academy. She was named to the honor roll all four years of high school. She has an older brother, Landon.
