MARLBORO, N.J. – Utah Gymnastics heads into the 2025 season as the nation's fifth-ranked team according to the results of the WCGA Preseason Poll, which was announced Tuesday afternoon. It is the eighth straight season Utah will begin the year ranked in the top-five nationally.

Utah is one of five teams to earn at least one first-place vote, the Utes totaled 1,733 points in the poll with one first-place vote. Edging Utah for the top four spots in the poll were Oklahoma (1,963 pts; 42 first-place), LSU (1,871 points; six first-place votes), Florida (1,806; five first-place votes), and California (1,785; one first-place vote). Running sixth through 10, respectively, are Alabama (1,641 pts), Kentucky (1,455 pts), Arkansas (1,453 pts), Missouri (1,407 pts) and finishing off the top 10 is UCLA (1,406 pts).

Utah will take its first road trip of the season, traveling to Oklahoma City for the ESPN Events Sprouts Collegiate Classic, making its national TV debut on Saturday, Jan. 11. The Red Rocks will compete in the prime afternoon session of the weekend at 2 p.m. MT against two of four teams that were featured in the 2024 NCAA Championship Final, facing preseason No. 2 and reigning national champions LSU and No. 4 California, rounding out the quad will be preseason No. 1 Oklahoma. The Red Rocks will face seven top-25 teams throughout the season. Fellow Big 12 members to earn a top 25 nod in the preseason poll, include No. 12 Denver (1,341 pts) and No. 20 Arizona State (902 pts).

Utah will be in action on Friday, Dec. 13 premiering their 2025 routines at the Red Rocks Preview with introductions set to begin at 7 p.m. MT from the Jon M. Huntsman Center. The intrasquad will be televised on ESPN+ with Jim Watson and Alissa Mowe covering the action on the broadcast. There will be post-meet autographs with the Red Rocks and the annual Red Rocks Collection will be available for sale.
