Utah Athletics Celebrates Exceptional Year in 2024

The 2024 calendar year was another special chapter for Utah Athletics, filled with highlights as the Utes excelled in the classroom, competition and community. From conference championships and NCAA postseason appearances, to All-America honors, individual national champions, elite academic accomplishments and making an impact in our community, the Utes gave fans much to cheer about once again in 2024 as they made the transition to the Big 12 Conference after 13 years in the Pac-12.

It was a year that also saw the historic conclusion of several of the most accomplished individual careers by Utah student-athletes -- including Maile O'Keefe (gymnastics), Alissa Pili (women's basketball) and Branden Carlson (men's basketball) -- and the celebration of one of the greatest players in Utah Football history, Alex Smith, being inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame and becoming the initial member of the program's new Ring of Honor.

Before we turn the calendar to 2025 and raise the bar even higher in the new year, we take a look back at some of the biggest moments and achievements from 2024.
