Â
Game 1
Oregon 7, Utah 5
The Utes took a 4-1 lead in the fourth inning, but were held to just one hit the rest of the ballgame as Oregon rallied to take the opener.
Â
Utah loaded the bases in the ninth inning with nobody out, bringing the go-ahead run to the plate in what was then a 7-4 game.
Tyler Quinn beat out Oregon's attempt at a double play to bring in Roberts and keep the contest going, though the Utes were unable to muster anything further.
Â
Roberts and
Drake Digiorno each went 2-for-4, combining for three RBI while Roberts scored once. Jackson tallied a run as did Quinn and Antillon.
Â
Utah answered an early Oregon run with a pair each in the third and fourth innings. In the third, Digiorno ripped a first-pitch single into left field to score Jackson and level the score at one. Then a sac fly from Clarkson brought in another run.
Â
Roberts would add a two-run single in the fourth, scoring Antillon and Quinn for a 4-1 Utah lead.
Â
The Ducks would pull back in front with a pair of two-run homers across the fourth and fifth innings.
Â
Bryson Van Sickle tied a season-high with eight strikeouts in his six-inning start, but received his first loss of the season (3-1).
Â
Game 2
Oregon 5, Utah 1

Â
Utah put the lead man aboard in each of the first three innings but was unable to cash in on the scoreboard.
Â
Oregon broke the ice with a pair of runs in the opening inning. Though the Utes put runners on second and third with one out in the third inning, back-to-back strikeouts ended the threat with the club unable to equalize.
Â
The 2-0 score remained until the home half of the fifth when the Ducks added another pair of runs. Utah broke through in its half of the sixth, when Roberts sent a double to the gap in right center field, scoring Jackson all the way from first base.
