INDIANAPOLIS – The NCAA released the 2022-23 Academic Progress Rate (APR) report on Tuesday and 10 University of Utah sport programs earned perfect scores of 1000 in the single-year report for 2022-23 for Division I schools. In addition, three of the Utes' sport programs — men's golf, women's soccer and beach volleyball — earned perfect multi-year marks of 1000. The multi-year scores are compiled from a four-year period.
Â
The APR accounts for eligibility, retention and graduation of all student-athletes on scholarship, and provides a measure of each team's academic performance.
Â
The ten Utah teams to earn perfect 1000 single-year scores for the 2022-23 reporting year are women's basketball, men's basketball, men's golf, gymnastics, lacrosse, women's skiing, women's soccer, softball, women's tennis and beach volleyball
.
"The academic success of our tremendous student-athletes remains our guiding focus as we continue to build a culture of excellence in Utah Athletics," said Mark Harlan, Director of Athletics. "The APR report is yet another reflection of this pursuit, and a testament to the hard work and commitment of our students, as well as the coaches, staff and administrators who support them."
