SAN RAMON, Calif. – Utah Athletics saw 74 student-athletes from eight sport programs honored today by the Pac-12 Conference with the release of the
2024 Spring Academic Honor Roll. For the entire 2023-24 school year, 219 Utah student-athletes were recognized by the Pac-12 for academic success, including 60 from the fall sports and 85 from the winter sports, announced earlier this year.
Â
The Spring Academic Honor Roll includes Utah student-athletes who participate in the sports of baseball, beach volleyball, men's golf, lacrosse, softball, men's tennis, women's tennis and women's outdoor track and field.
Â
The academic success by the Utes' spring sports programs matches the excellence demonstrated in competition in a highly successful final year for Utah as members of the Pac-12 Conference. Among the highlights from the spring sports, the lacrosse program claimed its third consecutive ASUN Conference regular season championship and its second consecutive ASUN tournament championship to secure a berth in the NCAA tournament for the second year in a row; the softball program qualified for the NCAA tournament for the second year in a row; and men's golf qualified as a team for the NCAA Championships for the second time in three years.
Â
In all, more than 1,200 student-athletes from the 12 conference institutions were recognized for their work in the classroom in the 2024 Pac-12 Spring Academic Honor Roll. Any student-athlete on his or her respective team roster with a cumulative grade-point average of 3.3-or-above, and who has served at least one year in residence at the institution, is eligible for the distinction.
