Makenna Smith earned her third highest all-around score of the 2025 season (39.600) against Big Ten opponent Washington to help the Red Rocks to a 197.225 – 195.875 victory in their final regular season road meet last Saturday.
Smith's efforts were recognized by the Big 12, earning her second Gymnast of the Week award Tuesday afternoon.
The Red Rocks rock star was a key contributor on bars (9.850) and beam (9.875), while adding event victories on vault (9.95) and floor (9.925) to earn the top prize in the all-around.
Smith sits at 18 wins on the year that include five wins in the all-around, five on vault, and six on floor. Smith also currently ranks No. 9 in the country in the all-around, No. 6 on vault, tied for 19 on beam, and tied No. 12 on floor.
