Fans Help the Utes Kick Off 2025-26

Thousands of Utes fans turned out for the annual Fan Fest Saturday night at Rice-Eccles Stadium
SALT LAKE CITY -- Thousands of Utah Utes fans showed how eager they are for the 2025-26 competition year, and their love for their favorite Utah Utes, at the annual Fan Fest event at Rice-Eccles Stadium on Saturday night. Student-athletes from all 19 sport programs interacted with fans of all ages, playing games, teaching skills, signing autographs and posing for photos.
The event serves as the unofficial kickoff to each new athletics year, and crowd that filled nearly the entire football field and the Layton Field Club on Saturday night reflected the tremendous passion of Utes fans and their excitement for the seasons ahead. Fan giveaways, interviews with select coaches and student-athletes, as well as the chance to purchase Utes gear from the Utah Red Zone story also highlighted the two-hour event.
Utah's home games and matches begin this week with the women's soccer team hosting Westminster at Ute Field on Thursday, Aug. 21, at 7 p.m., and the volleyball hosting its Red-White intrasquad match in the Jon M. Huntsman Center on Saturday, Aug. 23 at 1 p.m. The football team's home opener against Cal Poly is set for Saturday, Sept. 6, at 4 p.m.
