SALT LAKE CITY — Utah seniors
Makenna Smith and
Ashley Glynn bid farewell to the Huntsman Center in dominant fashion, helping the Red Rocks to their second-highest score of the season, and earning Big 12 weekly honors in the process.
For the fourth time in her career and first time in 2025, Smith was named the Big 12 Gymnast of the Week while Glynn earned Specialist of the Week for the first time in her career.

Smith was lights out from start to finish of Utah's tri-meet with West Virginia and BYU last weekend, starting the night off on vault with a 9.85 before drilling a season-high 9.925 bar routine in the leadoff.
However, floor is where the senior made the biggest impact, leaving the 12,294 Red Rocks fans in attendance 'Thunderstruck' with her final performance in the Jon M. Huntsman Center that tied her career-high 9.975 on the event.

Smith is currently tied for 14
th in the country on vault and tied 21
st in the country on floor while being tied for second on both events in the Big 12 and seventh in the conference on bars.
Glynn also made the most of her last time performing in the Huntsman Center, scoring back-to-back 9.90s on vault and bars.
Glynn has been a staple for the Utes all year on vault-- currently tied for 19
th in country on the event and fourth in the Big 12. Glynn's 9.90 on bars came in her first and only appearance on the apparatus so far this season.

Both seniors' scores contributed greatly to Utah's back-to-back 49.500 team event scores on vault and beam, while Smith also had a hand in Utah's third 49.500 of the night on floor.
