SALT LAKE CITY — Red Rocks phenom
Avery Neff closes out the 2026 regular season earning her seventh Big 12 Gymnast of the Week award, bringing Utah's final count to 14 on the year.
Neff put together a stellar performance against No. 5 UCLA last weekend, earning a 39.675 in the all-around while going toe-to-toe with Olympian Jordan Chiles for the crown.
The South Jordan native's all-around effort was her second-highest score in the event of her career, just .025 of a point behind her personal best of 39.700.
The budding Red Rock legend wasted zero time putting Pauley Pavilion on notice, posting a 9.975 on bars in the first rotation after one judge gave her a 10, which tied for the highest individual event score for the day.

Neff was rock solid on vault in rotation two, earning a 9.925 before entertaining the UCLA crowd with a 9.875 floor routine and closing out her night with a 9.90 on beam for good measure.
The Utah sophomore is currently tied fourth in the nation in the all-around, tied eighth on vault, tied 10
th on bars, and tied 13
th on beam. Neff ranks first in every event in the Big 12 except floor where she is ranked fifth.
