Utes reach NCAA regional play for third consecutive season
NCAA REGIONALS INFORMATION:
Dates: May 18-20
Location: Columbus, Ohio | OSU Golf Cours
SALT LAKE CITY – The Utah men's golf team has qualified for the sixth seed in the 2026 NCAA Division I Men's Golf Columbus Regional.
The regional will take place May 18-20, at the OSU Golf Club in Columbus, Ohio. This marks the third consecutive year the Utes have qualified for regionals as a team and the seventh time in program history.
"We are excited to go," head coach Garrett Clegg said. "It is great to be in this tournament—no matter what region you get sent to. I love this one because there isn't a host school, so there is no true home course advantage for anyone. It will be great to be up there. Grass is very similar to ours and the course look is very similar to ours, so it will be a lot like playing at home."
81 teams and 45 individuals will compete at regionals with teams being split into six different regionals.
The low five teams and low individual from each region (30 teams and six individuals in total) will move on from the regional round to compete in the finals from Friday, May 29 to Wednesday, June 3 at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, California.
