"Landon stood out throughout the entire search process," Persson said. "He brings a strong technical foundation, great energy on deck and a clear vision for developing divers at a high level. What impressed me most was his ability to connect with our student-athletes and his alignment with how we want to build this program moving forward. I'm confident he will make an immediate impact and help elevate our diving program within the Big 12 and the NCAA."

I can't wait to bring my knowledge and experience to Salt Lake City to help continue building on their success. I want to thank everyone who has been involved in this process, especially
Jonas Persson and the entire swim and dive staff. I would also like to wish Richard Marschner the best of luck in his new adventures. Finally, a special thank you to my wife Jennifer and daughter Mia; without their continued support none of this would be possible."
