SALT LAKE CITY -
Three University of Utah athletes have been selected as All-America Strength and Conditioning Athletes by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). Seniors Andy Bowers, a defensive end for the Ute football team and Amy Ewert, a guard/forward for the Utah women's basketball team, were cited, along with freshman baseball player Mike Westfall. The NCSA selected 173 athletes from 74 colleges and universities across the country for its 2001 All-America team.
