Who are the 25 greatest female athletes in the history of the University of Utah? Beginning on Friday, October 15, Ute fans will decide.
As part of its year-long celebration of 25 years of women's athletics at the University of Utah, the athletics department will officially kick-off the voting process to name the 25 greatest female athletes in its history at the Utah vs. Brigham Young volleyball match on Friday, October 15 at 7:00 p.m. at Crimson Court. Fans can also start voting online at the official University of Utah athletics website located at www.UtahUtes.com. Voting will take place through April of 2000 online and at various Ute athletic events.
Ute fans can vote for any combination of the 132 nominees representing all nine Ute women's athletics programs. Write-in votes will also be accepted. The voting will culminate with banquet honoring the 25 female athletes named to the team on May 6.
In the coming weeks, a ballot will appear in Salt Lake Tribune, which is an official sponsor of the voting.
