Salt Lake City - The third Crimson Club "Nothing But Red" Dinner/Auction will be held on Thursday, November 20 at the Little America Hotel.
There will be over 150 silent auction items and eight live auction items up for bid including vacation packages, art, autographed celebrity photos, local dinner and entertainment packages, and much more. Memorabilia from Utah's former athletes now in the pros will be featured, as well as unique items from all 19 athletic teams. Highlights of the live auction include a private 15-minute fireworks show, a day with former U.S. Senator Jake Garn including a ride in his private plane, a trip to New York City to see a Knicks game with Keith Van Horn and Mike Doleac, and a VIP trip to the Indianapolis 500.
All proceeds from the auction will benefit student-athlete scholarships through the Crimson Club, the fundraising entity for the University of Utah Athletics Department.
Crimson Club Director Frank Dolce and former Ute football star Sharrieff Shah will serve as the emcees of the program with Robert Olson as auctioneer. University of Utah Head Coaches will also attend the auction.
"Our main focus in the Crimson Club has always been supporting University of Utah student-athletes," said Dolce. "100 percent of the funds donated to the Crimson Club each year go directly to student-athlete scholarships. The Crimson Club Nothing But Red Dinner/Auction is an important event for us because it gives us an opportunity to gather with our fans who get to mingle with our student-athletes in a different setting, and we are able to raise necessary funds to support scholarships by auctioning items uniquely tied to Utah Athletics. It is a great evening."
The auction will get underway at 6:00 p.m. with cocktails and the silent auction while dinner will begin at 7:30 p.m. followed by the live auction. Ticket prices will be $125 per person or $1,000 for a table of ten. To reserve tickets or for more information, please contact the Crimson Club at (801) 585-8837.
