Andrew Clark enters his third season with Utah volleyball this fall after joining the Utes in February 2022 as a volunteer assistant coach.
In 2024, head coach Beth Launiere promoted Clark to the Utes' third full-time assistant coach on staff where he worked with the Utah middle blockers and elevated the Utes' blocking system, helping the Utes reach their 19th straight NCAA Tournament appearance and a No. 23 final ranking on the season. Clark also continued his previous responsibilities as a technical director in charge of video and statistics, creating training demonstrations for the Utah program and providing scouting reports of opponents.
Â
Clark proved a commodity from the jump, helping facilitate drills during training sessions while giving technical feedback to athletes starting in 2022, and was quickly brought on full-time as the Technical Director by August of the same year. As the Technical Director, Clark developed team scouts weekly for Utah Volleyball, and provided real-time analytics to the coaching staff, helping to analyze and bolster team performance through his mastery of the Volleystation program.Â
Â
Clark began coaching in 2019 with Club GSL in Sandy, Utah, where he coached boys and girls from 14u to 18u. Under Clark's tutelage, six players earned college commitments at the 17u level in 2024, including five NCAA Division I commits, which was the most of any Utah club in this age group.
Clark moved up to Club Director at Club GSL starting in 2021, and has played a pivotal role in growing the boys' program into a nationally-recognized brand, and expanding the travel offerings down to the 14u level, while assisting with creating the travel schedule ensuring the club is competing with top teams in the nation.
Â
Clark continues to be heavily involved with every aspect of recruiting for Utah Volleyball, including athlete evaluation, database management and communication with recruits and club coaches.
