Brennan Hall enters his second year as a graduate student manager with the Utah men’s basketball team and fourth year with the Runnin’ Utes program overall.
Â
Hall grew up in the Wasatch Front playing AAU ball for Runnin’ Ute legends Jimmy Soto and Josh Grant before joining the East High School boy’s basketball team – which was led by another Ute legend, Mitch Smith.

In 2020, Hall helped the Leopards capture a share of the regional title. He then went on to be an assistant under his former coach for three seasons (2021-23) while attending the University of Utah.

Hall then served as a video intern for both the Utah football and men’s basketball programs for the 2023-24 season. He returned in 2024-25 as a football video graduate assistant while also helping out as a volunteer student-manager for the Runnin’ Utes before signing on as a graduate student manager under first-year head coach Alex Jensen.

Since birth, college athletics is all Hall knew with both parents graduating from the U. His father, David, was a member of the swim team at Utah while his mother, Stephani, worked in the both the Utah and Arizona State Athletics Departments. Meanwhile, his grandfather was a longtime head men’s basketball coach with stints at Utah Tech, formerly known as Dixie State at the time, and Southern Utah.  Â

Hall graduated from Utah with a degree in strategic communications in the Spring of 2024.
