Elise Winkel serves as a learning specialist at the University of Utah. She is passionate about supporting student-athlete success both in the classroom and in competition.Â
Elise joined the full-time staff in December 2025 as a learning specialist, working with the football and men’s basketball programs.
She began her career at the University of Utah as an academic services intern in Fall 2025, supporting student-athletes from Men’s and Women’s Swim & Dive, Lacrosse, Softball, and Women’s Track & Field in managing their academic responsibilities. Prior to joining Utah, she provided mental performance support to high school and collegiate athletes across the West Coast.Â
Originally from Middleton, Idaho, Elise received a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Brigham Young University in 2023 and a master’s degree in Sport and Performance Psychology from California Baptist University in 2024.Â
Outside of work, you can find Elise spending time with her family and friends, in the gym, watching the sunset, and playing sports.
