Mike Corbett returned to Utah Football in 2010 and serves as the team’s associate director of football operations.
Corbett is involved in all aspects of the program’s day-to-day operations, coordinating team travel, logistics, event planning, bowl preparation and execution. Corbett additionally serves as a liaison to the many support units that interface with the football program. He also facilitates visits from local youth teams.
Prior to returning to Utah, Corbett spent three seasons (2007-09) at the University of Wyoming as the assistant director of football operations and recruiting. In that role, he organized daily team logistics, coordinated official visits for recruits and ensured the program’s compliance with NCAA regulations. He also maintained the Cowboys’ prospect and game film video library and was a key figure in Wyoming’s summer camp program.
Corbett previously worked in Utah’s football office from 2005-07 as an operations and recruiting administrative assistant, where he helped organize recruiting events, official visits and summer camps while managing prospect databases and recruiting materials. He also aided with team meals and other day-to-day duties to ensure a smooth-running football office.
Before his work in collegiate athletics, Corbett spent several years with the NHL’s Nashville Predators in a variety of hockey operations roles, assisting with scouting logistics, travel planning and draft preparation. He was part of the inaugural staff when the franchise was established, with Corbett serving as an inside sales representative.
Corbett is a 1993 alumnus of Tennessee, earning his bachelor’s degree in education with a sport management emphasis. He later completed a master’s degree in physical education with an emphasis in sports administration from Northern Colorado in 1995.
