Set for his first season with the Utes in 2026, Saunders takes over as Utah's director of football sports performance after joining the staff in a supporting role in February.Â
Previously in the NFL with the Ravens, Saunders joined Baltimore's staff in 2016Â before being promoted to director of performance in 2017, spending seven seasons with the franchise.Â
Saunders graduated from Millersville University (Lancaster, PA), where he was a captain and four-year starter at DT. He earned multiple All-ECAC and All-PSAC honors.
Saunders was born and raised in Myerstown, PA and attended Eastern Lebanon County HS, where he was a standout in football, basketball and baseball. Saunders and his wife, Emily, have five children: two daughters (Lily and Morgan) and three sons (Logan, Stone and Major).
