LOS ANGELES, Calif. - The 39th ranked University of Utah women' tennis team was unable to recprd a victory earlier today, as they dropped their match to USC with a score of 0-4. With this loss, the Utes will now move to an overall record of 11-8, with a 2-5 record in Pac-12 confernce play.
We competed a lot better today, although it was a tough weekend on the road," said head coach Mat Iandolo. "We are looking forward to finishing out the regular season at home."
The Utes were down early, as the Trojans were able to earn the doubles point.
Brianna Chisholm and
Madison Tattini were unable tp pull off a victory on court 1, as they dropped their match to 14th ranked Angela Kulikov and Rianna Valdes with a score of 2-6.
Emily Dush and
Lindsay Hung then dropped their match at the No. 3 position to allow USC to take the doubles point, losing to Ecton and Farrow with a score of 4-6.
In singles, the Utes then lost in straight sets on courts 3, 6 and 1, losing to No. 11 USC with a final score of 0-4. The University of Utah women's tennis team will be back in action on Thursday, April 11th, as they will take on Loyola Marymount in a home match at the Eccles Tennis Center. The match against Loyola Marymount is set to start at 1:30 p.m. MT that day.Â
