SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - Phil Cullen, Jeremy Killion and Hanno Mottola each scored 13 points as Utah beat High Point 73-42 Thursday night.
Utah (9-4), which led by as many as 36 points, has won four in a row and pushed its homecourt winning streak to 27 games.
Derek Van Weerdhuizen scored 16 points to pace High Point (3-6), which lost its third straight game in its first season at the Division I level.
Five minutes into the game, High Point held a one-point lead but Mottola scored nine points in a 19-4 Utah run for a 24-10 lead with 8:36 left in the half. Mottola had all but two of his 13 points in the first half.
The Utes, who held the Panthers to 26 percent shooting in the first half, scored the last 13 points of the period to take a 37-14 lead into intermission.
The Panthers played a compact zone defense and conceded the outside shot to the Utes, who made just 9 of 27 from 3-point range. But High Point could not penetrate the Utes' defense and shot just 35 percent and committed 18 turnovers.
After a Killion 3-pointer with 11:20 to play, Utah led 55-19. Andre Miller scored just six points in 26 minutes of play.
Fourteen Utes, including three walk-ons, saw action in the first meeting between the two schools.
