SALT LAKE CITY - The University of Utah women's tennis team is hosting the University of Utah Invitational Oct. 19-21 at the Eccles Tennis Center.
The tournament includes in-state schools Utah, Weber State and Utah State. Singles play begins Thursday at 4 p.m. Doubles will immediately follow at 7 p.m. Matches start at 3:30 p.m. Friday, while Saturday kicks off at 10:30 a.m. The singles finals will be held at 2 p.m., with doubles concluding the tournament at 5 p.m.
Lenka Zacharova of Weber State earned the top seed. Utah's Irini Kotoglou is the second seed, while teammate Cassie Kasteler drew a No. 4 seed. The Wildcats Therina Steenkamp was seeded third. Sarah Lowe drew the highest seed from Utah State at No. 5.
