SALT LAKE CITY— The No. 26-ranked Utah Utes fell 4-2 to the No. 29-ranked Arizona Wildcats Thursday afternoon after clinching the doubles point advantage.

The Utes are now 15-7 on the season and 8-4 in Big 12 action.

DOUBLES
In doubles action, the Utes got on the board first with a 6-2 win from Utah's Sara Akid and Dylan Lolofie on court No. 2.

The Utes clinched the doubles point advantage with a 6-3 win from Utah duo Hayley Roberts and Emma Valletta at the No. 1 spot.

The final doubles match on court No. 3 remained unfinished with Utah's Kaila Barksdale and Emmie Moore leading 4-3 over Arizona's Tanvi Narendran and Zoya Chulak.

SINGLES
The Arizona Wildcats took a brief lead over the Utes with wins at the No. 2 and No. 5 spots.

Utah's Sara Akid tied the overall match 2-2 for the Utes after fighting for a 7-5, 7-6(3) victory at the No. 1 spot.

The Wildcats would go on to clinch the overall match with victories at the No. 6 and No. 4 spots.

On court No. 3, Utah's Kaila Barksdale was leading 7-5, 6(4)-7, 1-0 in the third set before the Wildcats clinched the victory and remained unfinished.

UP NEXT
The Utes wrap up regular season play Saturday against the Arizona State Sun Devils in a senior day celebration at Noon. The Utes will then travel to Orlando, Fla., to compete in the Big 12 tournament. The first match is set for Thursday, April 16.
