Utah Women Win First Night of Competition

SALT LAKE CITY- The University of Utah women's swimming and diving team defeated Oregon State in the first night of dual competition. The Utes won eight out of the 13 events competed, to defeat the Beavers with an overall score of 120.0 to 101.0.
Senior captain, Heidi Hausknecht and freshman, Kristen Kaiser won two events each, and joined together to help the Ute team win the 400 free relay(3:31.67). Hauscknecht was first in the 50 free (24.06) and 100 free (52.51). Kaiser capitalized in the 500 free (5:07.45) and 1000 free (10:19.65).
Competition will resume Nov. 4 at 10:30a.m. at the Ute Natatorium.
