The ITA Regional Women's Tennis Championships in Omaha, Nebraska will continue through the weekend and wrap up on Sunday, Nov. 5. Utah's Irini Kotoglou won her opening match of singles against Morgan Sall from Colorado, 6-2, 6-3 and has advanced to the next round to face Petra Sedlmajerova of Kansas State. Scheduled match time for Friday is 1:00 p.m. The winner will advance to play in the next round match which will take place Friday at 5:30 p.m.
Frida Kareld and Cassie Kasteler each lost their first round singles matches, and will compete in the consolation round which begins Friday. Kareld will take on New Mexico's Lindsey Marvel at 8:00 a.m., while Kasteler will face Wichita State's Annalie Van Den Heever at 9:30. Kareld and Kotoglou lost their opening doubles match, as did Kasteler and Brooke Wilkinson. Both will be dropped into the doubles consolation bracket.
Play continues throughout the weekend, with final matches being held Sunday to wrap up the competition.
