LOS ANGELES - The Utah baseball team sealed its second victory over No. 16 ranked Loyola Marymount in a 6-2 contest today. The win brings the Utes to a 5-6 record. Utah scored six runs on 11 hits with one error while holding the Lions to two runs on six hits.
Junior Sam Swenson was 1-of-3, hitting his fourth double of the season and scoring two of Utah's runs. Jed Chrisman was 2-of-4, scoring one run and logging two RBI and third baseman Mike Goff also hit 2-of-4 with two RBI.
Sophomore Ryan Bailey pitched eight innings for the Utes facing 33 batters. The hurler allowed only six hits and two runs while striking out two batters.
