SAN DIEGO, Calif. - The Utah baseball team is 7-13 and 0-1 in conference play following a devastating defeat to San Diego State. In their first Mountain West Conference game, the Utes fell to the Aztecs 20-1. Utah scored its only run in the top of the ninth inning on a solo home run by first baseman Nate Weese. The Utes had seven hits and seven errors in the game. San Diego State scored 20 on 22 hits with one error.
The Utes and the Aztecs continue the three-game series tomorrow at 1:00 p.m.
