THIS WEEK: The Utah women's team will travel to Fort Collins, Colo. to take on Colorado State on Jan. 20, 2001. The men's will take a short break before returning to competition against New Mexico on Jan. 27.
RECENT RESULTS: Last week, the Utes were host to three conference teams. The Utes fell to BYU on Tuesday and Wyoming on Friday. The women proved victorious against Air Force on Saturday, but the men still came up short. The women's record is now 2-5 for the season and 1-4 in the conference. The men are at 0-5 with plenty of competition ahead.
"I am truly encouraged by our team's attitude, and performances after a week where we had to step up and race three times in 5 days. Our hard work from this Fall is beginning to show in our races, our mental toughness, and desire for great performance showed as we raced BYU, Wyoming and Air Force improving each session." Said Coach Litzinger.
The diving team had an amazing week, with two divers qualifying for the NCAA Zone Diving competition. Jill Comins qualified in the 3-meter and Sterling Richards in the 1-meter.
" Our divers have stepped up and have been winning events for us. I am impressed with their improvement, and the job Coach Zeibarth has done with them." Stated Coach Litzinger.
COMING UP: The Utes will travel to New Mexico Jan. 27, 2001 for dual-competition.
