Utah Upends BYU, 67-55

PROVO, Utah (AP) - Amy Ewert scored 13 points to lead a balanced scoring attack and No. 13 Utah beat BYU 67-55 on Friday night.
Kristina Anderson and Whitney Sutak added 12 points apiece, and Lori Castagnetto and Lauren Beckman each had 10 for Utah (23-2. 12-0 Mountain West).
Stacy Jensen scored 16 points and Caroline Beus added 11 for BYU (15-10, 7-5). Leading scorer Erin Thorn, who has been averaging 16.4 points per game, was held to four points.
BYU went on a 14-2 run, behind seven points from Jensen, to take a 39-33 with 13:36 to play.
But the Utes rallied back with a 17-2 run to take a 50-41 lead with 7:47 left.
The Cougars got as close as four points, but Utah put the game away at the free throw line. Utah was 12-for-15 from the line in the second half and hit 26 of 30 in the game.
