LAS VEGAS - The University of Utah women's tennis team (4-9, 2-2 MWC) lost its second straight Mountain West Conference match to 60th-ranked UNLV (5-8), 6-1 at the Fertitta Tennis Complex.
UNLV took two of three doubles matches to earn the point. Linn Ronnberg and Sheri Esrock won 9-8 at No. 3 over Urska Radanovic and Britta Gabl.
Frida Kareld was the lone singles win at No. 6. She beat Amy Hadziosmanovic, 4-6, 7-5, 7-5. UNLV won the top five singles matches, all in straight sets but at No. 2.
