SALT LAKE CITY--Nine Utes received honors as the Mountain West Conference announced the 2001 Academic All-Conference Baseball team on June 21. Utah had four repeat selections and tied with UNLV for the most members on this year's all-conference academic team. To be eligible for the selection, a student-athlete must have completed at least one academic term at the member institution, maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better and be a starter or significant contributor to the team.
