PARK CITY, Utah -- University of Utah ski team member, Torin Koos, was among 16 cross country skiers named to the U.S. Ski Team on Monday for the 2002 Olympic Winter Games. Former Ute Skiers, Kristina Joder and Justin Wadsworth will also represent the U.S. at next month's Olympics.
Koos, a native of a Leavenworth, Wash., is competing in his junior season with the Utes and has provided solid results for the last three seasons. He nailed five top-ten finishes for the Utah last season.
Joder wrapped up her eligibility with the Utes after the 2001 season, but currently serves the team as a fifth-year student assistant. She was an NCAA qualifier in each of her four seasons at Utah and was a 2000 All-American. Wadsworth was an All-American for the Utes in 1988 and has competed in the two previous Olympic Games.
