SALT LAKE CITY- Senior Courtney McKinney was named the Mountain West Conference Swimmer of the Week on Thursday. This marks the first time she has received the award.
Against New Mexico on Jan. 18, 2002, McKinney won the 100 free (53.17) and set a Utah varsity record in the 200 IM with a time of 2:07.58. On Jan. 19, 2002 against Colorado State, she broke her previous record in the 200 IM with a time of 2:07.46.
McKinney and the Utes face Wyoming tonight, Jan. 24, 2002, in Laramie at 5 p.m. and Air Force in Colorado Springs on Saturday at 1 p.m.
